In honor of Corporal Casey P. Zylman
March 31, 1985 - May 25, 2007

"United By Sacrifice"

In May of 2007 the Zylman Family lost their son Casey in Iraq, and as a result they wanted to do something to honor Casey’s memory. Randy Zylman, his father, served with the 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam, and Casey also served with the 25th Infantry Division as a Calvary Scout during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After much thought, they decided to honor the Coleman Community as well as all area Veterans with something bigger, and so the Coleman Veterans Memorial Committee was founded.

Memorial Construction

After breaking ground in August of 2010, the Coleman Veterans Memorial Commitee and dedicated community members embarked on a three phase plan to build this iconic memorial. Thanks to the determination and commitment of our community, the five year plan to build the memorial base and add the five original statues was completed in only two years. The additional three statues were added by May of 2016. Watch the video to see the process.
